Mechanical Aptitude Test
The Mechanical Aptitude Test determines a person's aptitude for learning mechanical skills. The resulting score reflects a person's ability to solve problems practically, apply physical laws and understand mechanical operations.

Time Limit

The Mechanical Aptitude Test measures a candidate's mechanical aptitude through a series of 40 questions. The test is subject to a 30-minute time limit. All test questions are multiple choice.
Candidates are assessed within the following areas:
- Mechanical Comprehension
- Understanding of and ability to apply basic physical laws
- Mechanical Knowledge
- Ability to solve problems using knowledge of simple mechanical operations
- Electronics Knowledge
- Ability to solve problems using knowledge of basic electronics

Detailed Test Report
For every candidate completing the Mechanical Aptitude Test, you will be able to download or print a detailed test report. The first page of the test report grants a quick overview of the candidate's overall performance on the test. On the following page of the test report you may compare the candidate's results with norm groups of 5 different occupations. The results of the candidate are compared to the norm groups in order to get the percentile population score. If the candidate has a score of 70, he/she scored as well or better than 70 percent of the 3,000 who were part of our 2014 test survey.
